Erasmus+ is the European Union’s programme that offers scholarship opportunities for students in tertiary institutions to study in Europe. The Alumni Celebration was organized in collaboration with the Centre for European Studies (CES) of the University of Ghana to offer Ghanaian alumni of ERASMUS+ an opportunity to share their experiences and provide guidance to students of the University of Ghana who may be interested.

The European Union Delegation to Ghana on 9th May, 2017 marked the 67th anniversary of the Schuman Declaration (EU Day) and 60 years of the signing of the Rome Treaty in 1957 which culminated in the formation of the European Union, with a cocktail reception at the residence of the Head of Delegation to Ghana. The event was attended by Ambassadors of EU Member States in Ghana and representatives of the Ghanaian government.

Fan Milk Ghana Limited has launched FANMAXX a new creamy drinkable yoghurt, naturally enriched with Calcium and Vitamins onto the Ghanaian market. The launch took place in Accra and was attended by government officials, media personnel and members of the general public.

UNICEF and GES launch "be amazing" campaign

The “Be Amazing” campaign is an initiative to educate girls about menstruation and urge the public to give girls the needed support during their period. The campaign advocates for girls to observe good menstrual hygiene practices in order to properly manage their menstruation and feel perfectly comfortable during this period.

A coalition of community based activists, led by The Rayuwa Foundation, a nongovernmental organization, has launched a media campaign to end discriminatory religious and traditional practices against women and girls in Ghana. The campaign is being supported by the Carter Center.
